Fossils

The sixth grade students used plasticine in a paper plate to create object (shells, rocks, etc.) indentations that resembled fossils. Next, they poured plaster of paris to fill the plate, then let it dry. When the plaster and plasticine were separated, the students ended up with wonder plaster casts of fossils. They added paint to give them a more organic appearance. Fantastic!
